One of my all time favorite cars!
They do have glasstransmissions though. They like to fail a lot.
They also eat tires like no tomorrow
And apparently some have alternator issues
You’re going to want to try and see a transmission build code though. Early ones you won’t want to touch. Later ones need a good service.

I wanted to buy an XC90, even had a nice one used at a lot. But parking it in SF garages and gas was silly so I got a 2006 CRV. Any vehicle Jezza gives a very positive review on must be great. I also wanted to get a Yamaha sticker for it.

I can tell you every single thing about it. Or just show what I was walking by when I opened OPPO on my phone

V8 stuff (this time it was idler pulley failure). 2.5T is the way to go in XC90 land unless you’re not totally broke as a joke like me. In that case, 3.2L

It sounds orgasmic straight piped.
It’ll also make you wish you had an AMG V8 when it shits the bed.

They were substantially less slow that basically every other first gen XC90.

My mom had a 2007 XC90 she leased new, had the 6 cylinder. I loved that thing, felt like a tank.

![]() 08/09/2016 at 20:51 |

So that’s something I can tell you about it
![]() 08/09/2016 at 21:19 |

Something about being Yamaha built or designed or somthing. Also, I think they were also used in the Nobel M400.

Unrelated-ish... Thoughts on the 2016 Xc60? Wife wants one sooner rather than later.

Just another day just like EVERY other brand’s dealership or independent shop that works on EVERY kind of car

Nothing but positive thoughts sir. If I had the money i’do get one today! Anywhere from base trim to 325hp R-Design. All very nice vehicles. Older models get the typical look around. Typical wear items have lower than normal life on Volvo and engine accessories are good but not great. But besides that, solid, fun, and extremely safe Swedish automobiles
